Is FlexRoom free to use?
Yes. Browsing, saving homes and messaging are free for seekers, and hosts can list a room for free.
How does verification work?
Verification is optional. A member can confirm a phone number for free, and can pay a small fee for an ID check (a government ID and a live selfie). Members who pass the ID check show the teal checkmark badge.
How do I avoid scams?
Keep your chat inside FlexRoom, never send money before touring the place (in person or by video), and report anything suspicious. FlexRoom does not handle rent or deposits.
Can I list a room as a renter?
Yes — as long as your lease allows roommates or subletting. Check your lease and local rules before listing.
Which cities does FlexRoom cover?
We're starting with Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Ottawa and Edmonton, with more cities coming.
